These Edge Trims and Seals have a POM plastic reinforcement embedded in their U channel (rather than metal).
This has the following advantages.
- Does not rust
- More flexible
- Lighter than steel reinforced trims
- Non conductive
- Easier to cut and reduced risk of cutting yourself as no protruding metal
- Does not deform in the same manner as steel reinforced trims when bending and cutting
- Does not need to be replaced due to degradation, cutting the cost of replacing the trim and labour involved
